PRODUCT INFORMATION

Fluoride occurs naturally due to the geological makeup of soil and bedrock, and most water sources contain some level of naturally occurring fluoride. Additional fluoride can enter drinking water through industrial discharge from fertilizer or aluminum manufacturing, fluoridated dental products, and the intentional addition of fluoride to municipal water supplies. In Canada, Health Canada recommends an optimal fluoride concentration of 0.7 milligrams per liter (mg/L) in drinking water. Aries AF Series Fluoride Removal Filter Cartridges reduce fluoride levels using advanced ResinTech® SIR-900 media. This media is a synthetic aluminum oxide that removes fluoride through a chemical reaction with the filtration media. ResinTech® SIR-900 is designed with minimal swelling or shrinkage, delivers low pressure drop, and performs effectively across a wide pH range. AF Series fluoride reduction cartridges are available in four standard sizes: 2.5” x 10”, 2.5” x 20”, 4.5” x 10”, and 4.5” x 20”.
