PRODUCT INFORMATION

Nitrates are colorless, odorless, and tasteless compounds that form naturally when organic matter decomposes. They are commonly found in well water and surface water, and can also enter drinking water through the widespread use of lawn and garden fertilizers containing potassium and ammonium nitrates. Elevated nitrate levels in drinking water can pose serious health risks, including bluish or gray skin discoloration and symptoms such as weakness, rapid heart rate, fatigue, and dizziness. Aries nitrate reduction cartridges utilize advanced ResinTech® SIR-100-HP media, a high-performance nitrate-selective resin. This media offers up to twenty-five times greater nitrate affinity compared to standard strong-base anion resins. The cartridge is designed for efficient nitrate reduction with low leakage and eliminates the risk of nitrate dumping when the media becomes exhausted. In Canada, the maximum acceptable concentration of nitrate in drinking water is 45 mg/L (45 ppm). Aries AF Series nitrate removal cartridges are available in four standard sizes to suit a wide range of residential and light commercial applications.
