What is Di Ionization?

Di Ionization: The removal of all ionized minerals and salts (both organic and inorganic) from a solution by ion exchange. Positively charged ions are removed by a cation exchange resin in exchange for a chemically equivalent amount of hydrogen ions. Negatively charged ions are removed by anion exchange resin for a chemically equivalent amount of hydroxide ions. The hydrogen and hydroxide ions introduced in this process unite to form water molecules. The term deionization is often used interchangeably with demineralization.

Di Ionized Water: Di Ionized (D I) or De-Ionized (De) water has become an essential ingredient in hundreds of applications including medical, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, electronics, manufacturing, food processing, plating, countless industrial process, lasers, Glass & metal industries.

Di Ionized Water Type 3 pure water is a very poor electrical conductor having an up to >1 million ohm-cm (1 meg ohm) and conductivity of .55 micro Siemens. It is the amount of ionized substances (or salt) dissolved in the water which determines water’s ability to conduct electricity.

AQUA ONE Di Ionized water is available in four different grades.
Type1+, Type1, Type 2 & Type 3
