Calibration Guidelines

For optimal performance and accurate readings, TDS meters should be recalibrated periodically using certified calibration solutions. Proper calibration practices help maintain measurement accuracy and extend the life of the meter.

• NaCl calibration solutions are available in 342 ppm or 1000 ppm concentrations.
• Calibration solutions are supplied in lightweight HDPE plastic bottles.
• Never calibrate a meter in air.
• Never calibrate a meter using distilled water.
• Never calibrate a meter using tap water or any uncertified water or solution.
• Unopened HM Digital calibration solutions have a shelf life of approximately one year.
• Once opened, calibration solutions have a shelf life of approximately six months if properly stored and uncontaminated.
• All calibration solutions should be stored in a cool location.
