Overview

The 3M Aqua-Pure Whole House Standard Diameter Water Filter Drop-in Replacement Cartridge AP420 is designed for use with AP100 housings as well as standard and large diameter stainless steel housing series. This standard 2.75-inch diameter drop-in cartridge is manufacturer tested and verified to deliver reliable whole-house filtration performance.

The AP420 cartridge provides nominal sediment reduction down to 5 microns while also helping reduce scale formation. Its rigid construction, produced through a proprietary polypropylene manufacturing process, helps prevent sediment unloading caused by changes in water pressure, often referred to as water hammer.

Integrated scale inhibition media helps minimize scale buildup on both standard and tankless water heaters, as well as downstream plumbing fixtures. This dual-function design makes the AP420 an effective choice for maintaining water system efficiency and extending equipment life.
